BRIEF
This exhibition was launched at the centennial anniversary of World War I. World War I and its repercussions have received relatively less public attention in the USA than the American Civil War and World War II. As centennial anniversaries always bring attention to a subject, our brief was to design a high impact and immersive narrative that would inspire emotion and create strong memories.
CHALLENGES
Telling the compelling story of World War I in a way that communicates effectively to different audiences, from schoolchildren to adults and army veterans, proved to be a challenge.
SOLUTION
We created a bold visual narrative with exhibits, posters, drawings and maps to familiarize all visitors with the lasting impact and influence of World War I on American lives. The narrative not only projected the First World War as psychologically devastating, but also highlighted the fact that it radically changed technology and society. The exhibition thus connected the past with the present, as a way of engaging its various audiences.
